LAKE MCDONALD LODGE

Tucked among the trees, Lake McDonald Lodge & Complex, is a paradise in which to relax and enjoy nature's bounty. Situated along the shores of Lake McDonald, this wonderland is treasured by guests who enjoy fishing, horseback riding, and hiking.

Guests can stay in the historic hunting lodge or in the lake cottages sprinkled throughout the trees or in Stewart Motel, tucked back in a quiet corner of the complex. Regardless of your choice, all guests are encouraged to enjoy the cozy, warm atmosphere created by the enormous rock fireplace in the main lodge or to just sit a spell on the back deck, watching the boat tours and the sun come & go. Throughout your stay, you can choose from American dining with a taste of the outdoors in the Russell's Fireside Dining Room located in the main lodge or casual dining with an Italian flair in Charlie's, centrally located in the complex. After a remarkable day in the park, we invite you to let everything go as you gaze out over Lake McDonald and watch the sun tuck behind the mountain scenery in the cozy, cedar-paneled Stockade Lounge.

VILLAGE INN

Located on the shores of Lake McDonald in the quaint and small village of Apgar is the marvelous, little Village Inn. Guests can open their eyes every morning to the stunning views of Glacier National Park and it doesn't take long to see why Montana is called "Big Sky Country" as the amazing blue skies outline the imposing mountain peaks. Guests seem to ponder over it all as they listen to the waves hit the beachfront just outside their door.

Choose from a kitchenette or a motel-style room as you spend your vacation enjoying activities such as canoeing across the lake or trying your hand at a little fly-fishing. Village Inn is located on the west side of Glacier National Park just off the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Apgar.

SWIFTCURRENT

It may be at the end of the road, but it is definitely not at the end of the earth. This is a hiker's paradise! Imagine this, you have a cabin for a week, right in the middle of the Many Glacier Valley in Glacier National Park and every single day you can head in a different direction and hike a new trail or maybe you want to catch the shuttle to the top of Logan Pass on the Going-to-the-Sun Road and hike back to Swift Current. And if you don't want to rough it so much, you can get one of the motor inn motel rooms with your own bathroom and shower instead. It just doesn't get any better than this!

Located on the hillside adjacent to Swift Current Lake, this ideal location offers a complete camp store to help fill those hiking packs and the Italian Gardens Ristorante, featuring pasta & pizza specialties plus many other great, familiar staples, to help fill those empty hiking stomachs.

MANY GLACIER HOTEL

For the avid nature and wildlife enthusiast, there is no place better than the Many Glacier Valley and for most, once you have visited this northeastern corner of Glacier National Park, you are drawn back here time after time. It may be because of the abundance of wildlife such as bears, mountain goats, and big horn sheep. Or it may be because of the wealth of hiking and horseback riding trails. Or it may be because of the panoramic views that are breathtaking. Whatever the reason, it is no wonder it is called the "Switzerland of North America". Many Glacier Hotel, a grand old historical lodge, sits on the shores of Swift Current Lake, where boat tours take guests into a wilderness wonderland from which they can view living glaciers.

Guests share their celebrated stories of the present and the past while they rest in the great lobby or in the Ptarmigan Dining Room, viewing the spectacular peaks and the shimmering lake waters as the sun brings the dramatic alpine glow over the mountains. They are certainly not short of stories in the Swiss & Interlaken Lounge either, where they enjoy Montana's famous huckleberry daiquiris and microbrews. And if guests want to hear true stories of the park and of Lewis & Clark's adventures, they should be sure to attend the original and entertaining performances of David Walburn who delights audiences of all ages!

RISING SUN

If casual and laid-back is your style, you'll love the Rising Sun Motor Inn & Cottages hidden away in the trees on the hillside adjacent to the frequently photographed St. Mary Lake. Right off the Going-to-the-Sun Road and minutes from the east entrance, this is the perfect base camp for your Glacier National Park vacation!

Guests can stay in this historic base camp used by miners in the late 1800's and early 1900's in either the motor inn motel rooms or the adorable, little cottages scattered throughout the trees. Regardless of your choice, all guests are sure to find the conveniences of the camp store and Two Dog Flats Grill to be very suitable to their needs.

GLACIER PARK LODGE

As guests enter Glacier Park Lodge, they pause with awe at the enormous Douglas Fir trees that surround its majestic lobby and realize why it is commonly called the "Big Tree Hotel". This magnificent hotel, steeped in history and culture of the Great Northern Railway and the Blackfoot Indians, is nestled at the foot of Dancing Lady Mountain, where guests can play a game of golf, take a swim in the outdoor, heated pool or enjoy nature trails on horseback. Many choose to relax and enjoy a good book or a game in the reading room, as they admire the mountain views and the glorious gardens at the lodge.

After a memorable day of your family's vacation, you can unwind and appreciate a hearty meal in the Great Northern Steak and Rib House or a relaxing view of the sunset from the Sunset Lounge or one of the many decks or balconies.
