Plow on the Going to the Sun Road

Going-to-the-Sun Road Information

Spring plowing on park roads has begun.
For the most recent updates on plowing progress visit our "Where are the Plows?" page.

For information on projected road opening dates please see the PDF "Going-to-the-Sun Road 5-Year Schedule" located in the Going-to-the-Sun Road Project section of the website.
NOTE: The dates listed, in the PDF file referenced above, are only the earliest possible dates the road could open. Typically snow conditions are such that there are several days of plowing left to complete opening of the Logan Pass section of the road. The actual opening date is not possible to predict at this time.

Additional information on the Going-to-the-Sun Road, and other roads in the park, is available at the following site. It highlights which roads are open or closed. Road Status
